Book Tree

Do you build a book tree, or do you grow one? Well that depends.

If you are talking about the work, then we have to say that it is our own Senior Bookseller Helena who does the building. It takes a solid day of effort, and it is fun to watch. Please direct any kudos in that regard to her.

From another perspective: there would be no book tree without the bookstore, and without all of our employees and the customers who support us, by buying books and gifts, trading in used books for credit, and coming in to foster our sense of community. It is a tradition which has to grow, and which we grow together. Thank you all.

Don't forget that you we are offering 20% off all purchases in the store on Saturday, November 30 (Small Business Saturday). Also, on Monday, all purchases on the website will be 25% off! There will be no better time than now to shop and to come say hello. We hope to see you soon!

Books we are excited about

Memory Palace
by Nate DiMeo

“One doesn’t often find the words imagination and history in the same sentence. Nate DiMeo has forever woven them together. The Memory Palace wants you to linger, to stay awhile, and find a deeper meaning both in the stories of the past and perhaps in your own life as well.”—Ken Burns

Legends & Lattes: Deluxe Edition
by Travis Baldree

“Take a break from epic battles and saving the world. Legends & Lattes is a low-stakes fantasy that delivers exactly what's advertised: a wholesome, cozy novel that feels like a warm hug. This is my new comfort read.”—Genevieve Gornichec, author of The Witch's Heart

Vanishing Treasures: A Bestiary of Extraordinary Endangered Creatures
by Katherine Rundell

"In times like these, terror and rage will carry us only so far. We will also need unstinting, unceasing love. For the hard work that lies ahead, Ms. Rundell writes, 'Our competent and furious love will have to be what fuels us.' This is a book to help you fall in love." —Margaret Renkl, The New York Times
